KOKOPELLI Packraft Debuts It’s Toughest, Most Whitewater-Ready Boat Yet!

March 20, 2019

The Recon brings commercial raft durability to the packraft category.

Boulder, Co (March 20, 2019) – This winter brought historic snowfall for much of the country, and when that sweet, sweet pow melts, it’s going to be one awesome whitewater season. And the Recon is the KOKOPELLI for your road to river missions and post-work shred-laps.

It has same basic construction as the whitewater-specific, self-bailing Nirvana packrafts, but the Recon touts a Leafield D7 valve, thigh-strap attachment points, and a body and floor built with heavy-duty, 9mm PVC. It clocks in at 18 pounds and one ounce.

“Traditional packrafts are made with a TPU coated nylon with Kevlar reinforcements in particular stress zones,” says Zach Patterson, Accounts Manager at KOKOPELLI Packrafts. “The Recon is made with PVC, a thicker and more durable and abrasion resistant material. It’s the same stuff commercial rafts are built from, just a tick thinner. This is our most bomber boat, and the the toughest packraft in the world.”

It’s recommended for Class II to IV whitewater. “It has optional thigh straps, so you can edge better,” says Patterson. “The tiny portion of the paddling community that can roll a packraft can do that with this one, but it’ll allow any paddler to engage their core better and just have more control and a better ability to navigate through tricky whitewater.”

If you want a tough yet nimble boat that packs small (16’’x12’’) and doesn’t need babying, the Recon is for you. To celebrate the world’s most durable packraft, the new Recon KOKOPELLI Packraft is offering a pre-sale till the end of the month on ALL of our boats: 10% off single boat purchase, 15% of 2 boats or more Click the link below to take advantage of the sale before it’s over! http://www.kokopellipackraft.com/packrafts
