November 30, 2022

Collection Includes Three Styles Designed for Fast Trail Running and Longer Maximum Distances

STAMFORD (November 30, 2022)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – LOWA Boots, the global footwear brand known for its nearly 100 years of hand-crafted European heritage, today entered the trail running category with the introduction of All Terrain Running (ATR) by LOWA. The ATR by LOWA collection uses the brand’s proven technology and design already appreciated by outdoor devotees around the globe. Officially launched at Switchback at The Running Event in Austin, the line is composed of three distinct silhouettes: CITUX, designed for fast trail running; the AMPLUX, for runners that want to go further and faster; and the FORTUX, for longer distances, priced between $160 and $175, the line will be available at specialty retailers starting June 2023.

“ATR is our answer to the growing trend of trail running that is continuing to increase steadily around the world,” said Peter Sachs, general manager of LOWA Boots LLC. “Every design feature was carefully considered resulting in a shoe that not only embodies our performance heritage, but also, honors our design prowess from experts that participate in the sport. In addition, this line enables LOWA to introduce younger consumers to the brand who are looking for fresh options that meet their unique needs.”

The key technologies are: the proprietary LOWA TRAC Sole system, a sticky rubber compound providing superior traction in wet or dry conditions; the carbon reinforced rebound plate, a reinforced plate under the forefoot, giving runners energy return and protection from any sharp objects or uneven trails; the Heel Stabilizer, an anatomically shaped, molded heel counter guaranteeing stabilizing function in all directions; LOWA DYVENA, a sophisticated polymer compound with excellent cushioning level that absorbs the forces that occur during heel strike; and anatomical ankle lines providing support through a unique asymmetrically shaped upper edge that precisely reflects the ankle’s anatomy.

The CITUX, made for competitive fast trail running, has a lightweight design utilizing dual-density DYNEVA high rebound cushioning, a carbon-reinforced rebound plate, a full length EVA shell and proprietary LOWA TRAC speed sticky rubber outsoles. The combination of the 4mm heel drop with all of these components makes the CITUX a high performing shoe with minimum weight. The tongue construction is comfortable and highly breathable. The CITUX, for men and women, is $175.00.

The AMPLUX is made for those that look for a versatile shoe that can go both fast and far. It has a 6mm heel drop with a full length triple density DYNEVA high rebound cushioning midsole, a carbon-reinforced rebound plate, a fore-midfoot EVA midsole shell, a rearfoot EVA midsole shell, and the LOWA TRAC agility sticky rubber outsole. The padding in the collar and heel area balances comfort and agility enabling the user to get the most out of their experience. The AMPLUX is crafted for the everyday trail runner competitor and comes in three colors for both men and women. It is priced at $170.00.

The FORTUX is especially designed for the longest distances. It has a 6mm heel drop, rocker shaped high-rebound DYNEVA cushioning, and LOWA TRAC ultra sticky rubber outsole. The FORTUX is built for comfort over long distance trail runs. Pressure points are prevented because the shaft is made of one piece without unnecessary seams. It comes in three colors for both men and women at $160.00.
