Mountain Hardwear Emphasizes Equipment in 2018 Launching New Tents and Sleeping Bags

July 25, 2017

Richmond, Calif. – Mountain Hardwear, Inc., an outdoor industry leader in product design and innovation, is proud to launch groundbreaking new tents and sleeping bags that enable users to push as far, as high, and as wide as their aspirations will take them. Mountain Hardwear believes that properly quipped, a person is only limited by his or her physical and mental fortitude.

At Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City July 25-28th, Mountain Hardwear will debut two new families of tents, the Vision and the Pathfinder, in addition to the highly anticipated Ghost Whisperer Sleeping Bag which expands the franchise of one of the brand’s most celebrated products, the Ghost Whisperer Down jacket.

“With these new tents, we were focused on introducing versatile, lightweight designs with features for both backpacking and trailhead camping,” said Robert Hollister, product manager for equipmentat Mountain Hardwear.  “No matter what kind of activity you’re getting after, you’re covered with either the adaptable Vision or more backcountry focused Pathfinder.”

Vision 3 Tent – MSRP $349
The Vision 3 tents blurs the line between indoors and the great outdoor with a wide-screen view. Great for backpacking and camping, the Vision features a full mesh canopy and oversized mesh doors with a panoramic vista that adjusts as quickly as the weather changes. This feature comes alive by fly that can rolled back for sleeping under the starts or unrolled for privacy and protection. The color coded webbing and hubbed pole system makes pitching the tent a breeze.

Pathfinder 2 Tent – MSRP $419
The advanced design sensibilities makes this lightweight backpacking tent adaptable, reliable and comfortable. A fully symmetrical architecture makes pitching simple and foolproof. Two full size end rather than the standard side doors, combined with full size vestibules, maximize individual space and storage, making the tent easy to share in the backcountry. The full mesh canopy keeps weight to a minimum, promotes great ventilation, and allows for unobstructed top views for the feel of sleeping under the stars.

Ghost Whisperer™ Sleeping Bag 40° – MSRP $400

Expanding on the  success of the Ghost Whisperer Down Jacket, Mountain Hardwear has harnessed the best attributes into a superior sleeping bag made from 900-fill Q.Shield.DOWN with an exceptional loft and warmth to weight ratio. The 10D ripstop fabric makes this bag incredibly light and compressible, while the mummy cut ensures efficient air entrapment for maximum warmth. The bag also features a durable three‑quarter length anti‑snag zipper with a fabric reinforcement, a down‑filled face gasket  to blocks drafts at hood opening and a comfort foot box allows for a natural foot position.
