Mountain Hardwear’s Atherm Jacket is Recognized by Polartec with an Apex Award for Design and Innovation

Richmond, Calif. – Mountain Hardwear, Inc., an outdoor industry leader in product design and innovation, is proud to announce its Fall 2017 Atherm Jacket has been recognized with an Apex Award from Polartec. The annual design award program celebrates the finest products made from Polartec fabrics and the designers behind them. The 11 winning products were selected based on the skilled and creative uses of Polartec fabric technologies.

Polartec is an industry leader and world class developer of innovative textiles. Mountain Hardwear is best known for building essential apparel and equipment for climbers .For Fall 2017, the two brands have taken their long standing partnership to the next level by creating custom and unique fabric combinations and developing a collection that maximizes breathability, stretch and performance.

The Mountain Hardwear Atherm Jacket (MSRP $285) demonstrates the true power of two brands in collaboration. The style features Polartec® Alpha®, the latest evolution in synthetic insulation offering a unique mixture of lightweight and compressable warmth and true breathability for high aerobic activities in cold climates.

Adams and fellow Mountain Hardwear designer Dave Mertes were recognized by Polartec for their work on the Atherm jacket.

Each winner is an embodiment of Polartec fabric innovation and design inspiration, and the winning designers are being recognized with a Malden statue, an industry award unlike any other, and images celebrating the Science of Fabric.
