PK Grills Launches Most Versatile Portable Charcoal Grill Yet

September 23, 2020

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. September 23, 2020 – PK Grills, maker of the iconic, cast aluminum PK Grill and Smoker, is pleased to introduce its most innovative and portable product to date, the PKGO. Perfect for camping, tailgating, the beach, and everywhere in between, the compact PKGO is built for clean, effortless portability without sacrificing the durability and functionality PK Grills are famous for.

“Here at PK, we’ve been perfecting charcoalgrills for almost 70 years, steering clear of the fads and staying focused on the purity of cooking outdoors over a real charcoal fire,” said Brian Taylor, President and CEOofPK Grills. “While all of our grills are designed to allow some degree of portability, our new PKGO was designed with travel as the primary use case.  Most competing portable grills available in the market tend to sacrifice cooking performance for portability, so PK customers will be amazed that this new smaller, lighter PKGO has the same exceptional cooking characteristics of its larger siblings.”

The new PKGO is now available in two different variations: The PKGO Hibachi and PKGO with Flipkit. Built with rust-proof, heat conducting cast aluminum, both models are designed to last decades and are backed by PK Grills’ industry-leading 20-year warranty.

In lieu of a lid, the PKGO Hibachi features a dual-purpose cutting board that also serves as a cover, keeping ash securely contained with its dual side cam-locks. Affordably priced at $169, the PKGO Hibachi comes with a 200 square inch, ceramic-coated cast iron cooking surface that can be adjusted to two different heights. For better breakfasts and perfect smash burgers, a flat-top Go Griddle Accessory is sold separately for $49.99.

The PKGO with Flipkit takes compact cooking to another level. Available for $269.99, it includes a full cast aluminum grill capsule, which creates an even cooking chamber that PK’s are famous for. As an added bonus, the innovative Flipkit allows users to remove the cast aluminum lid and place it upside-down on the included molded lid stand, creating a second Hibachi-style grill. By adding the extra charcoal grate and cast-iron grilling surface to the lid, the cooking surface can be doubled to 400 sq. inches. That kind of flexibility makes PKGO great for cooking for two or a whole campsite.

With the lid attached via PK’s unique Dura-hinge design, the PKGO delivers exceptional direct and indirect 2-zone cooking with its patented venting and shape. Featuring adjustable lower vents and dual water-shedding radial top vents, consistent heat is never in question. The PKGO Hibachi and PKGO with Flipkit can now be purchased at pkgrills.com, as well as Ace Hardware and select retailers.

PK Grills also gives back. 1 in 7 kids in America lives with hunger and PK Grills is helping make a difference by supporting a national nonprofit working to end childhood hunger in America. Join us in making a difference. A percentage of every PKGO sold will be donated to No Kid Hungry. For more information visit: www.nokidhungry.org.
