Rumpl and Rachel Pohl Collaborate on 100-percent Recycled Teton Dreams NanoLoft Puffy Blanket

February 18, 2021

Rumpl Artist Division (RAD) expands in spring 2021 with original designs from artists like Mel Kadel, Sam Larson and Stefan Sagmeister

PORTLAND, Ore. (Feb. 18, 2021) – Today, Rumpl, the category leader in technical outdoor blankets, announces the launch of a limited-edition blanket designed by Montana-based landscape artist, Rachel Pohl. For spring 2021, Rachel Pohl joins the Rumpl Artist Division (RAD), a collaborative program that showcases the work of accomplished and upcoming artists who inspire creativity in communities around the world. This exclusive NanoLoft Puffy Blanket features an original Rachel Pohl painting commissioned by Rumpl and depicts the Teton Mountains in the spring just as the wildflowers are beginning to bloom. Rachel Pohl is one of four artists to join the RAD this spring and her blanket, Teton Dreams, will be available for purchase on February 21, 2021.

“Partnering with Rumpl has been an absolute dream of mine for years, honestly. It was so special to create a piece that sums up the blissful feeling of summer nights and even more so to have that painting printed on an eco-friendly, packable adventure blanket,” says Rachel Pohl. “I’ve been working on this project with Rumpl for over a year now and I’m so excited to share this labor of love with everyone. I’ve been secretly taking my personal Teton Dreams blanket on adventures for many months now and it makes me so happy that others can now do that same. I am also incredibly grateful for the opportunity to tell a story through film about my journey as an artist, and the challenges inherent in such a path. I hope the theme of coming home to yourself resonates with those who watch the short film.”

The Teton Dreams NanoLoft Puffy Blanket (MSRP $199) is made with Rumpl’s 100-percent post-consumer recycled NanoLoft™ insulation, which is made of tiny circular fiber clusters that mimic the properties of down. Each blanket reclaims at least 50 post-consumer plastic bottles. The durable water repellant (DWR) treatment and 30-denier ripstop polyester fabric ensure that this blanket can stand up to the elements, whether that’s a rocky surface by the river or grassy field of wildflowers. Just toss it in the washing machine afterwards for a blanket that will keep you company on your next mountain adventure.

In addition to Rachel Pohl’s Teton Dreams, Rumpl has an assortment of collaborations launching this spring, including Mel Kadel’s Dots & Daises Original Puffy Blanket (MSRP $129), Sam Larsen’s Left Coast Original Puffy Blanket (MSRP $129) and Stefan Sagmeister’s Beautiful Shapes Down Puffy Blanket (MSRP $259).

The Teton Dreams NanoLoft Puffy will be available at www.rumpl.com on February 21, 2021. For more information, please contact Account Manager Maria Brickman at maria.brickman@rygr.us
