Rumpl Debuts New Fire-Resistant Blanket and Stash Pouch

Built with Embarrier™ fire-resistant fabric to protect against sparks and embers

Portland, Oreg. (May 22, 2025) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Rumpl, the creator of the Original Puffy Blanket and pioneer of the technical blanket category, is expanding its outdoor gear lineup with the launch of the Flame Puffy Blanket and Flame Stash Pouch, two new limited-edition products designed for safer comfort around the campfire. Both are constructed with Embarrier™, a proprietary fire-resistant fabric that helps prevent damage from sparks, floating embers and hot ash, all common risks in outdoor environments where polyester gear sits in proximity to campfires and open flames.

Rumpl’s fire-resistant innovations began with the NanoLoft® Flame Blanket, a compact campfire companion sized at 38 x 52 inches. Now, the new Flame Puffy expands that protection with a full-size 52 x 75-inch blanket built for full-body coverage, alongside the travel-friendly Flame Stash Pouch for storing fire-starting essentials and everyday carry items. The pouch features a durable webbing handle, reinforced zipper tab and secure zip closure, making it ideal for carrying essentials like matches, lighters and necessities for making s’mores.

The Flame Puffy Blanket is made using a fire-resistant Embarrier™ fabric shell on the top side, paired with a 30D polyester ripstop bottom, a PFAS-free DWR coating for water and stain resistance and a built-in zippered stash pocket made from the same flame-retardant material. The blanket also includes Rumpl’s signature Cape Clip® for hands-free wear and is machine washable for easy care. The Flame Puffy and Flame Stash Pouch are available in two colorways: Hot Moss and Deep Ember.
