Sea to Summit Issues a Voluntarily Recall on Popular Range of Alpha and Sigma Camp Pots

January 14, 2021

Boulder, CO (January 13, 2020) — Sea to Summit has issued a voluntary recall of the Alpha and Sigma camp pots and will provide a field replacement latch to remedy all affected product.

A potential safety hazard has been identified with the second generation of the Alpha and Sigma pot range which feature a black nylon latch. If the latch is not engaged properly, it can create the possibility of the pot becoming unstable, potentially causing the pot’s contents to spill unexpectedly.

Owners of Alpha or Sigma Pots should immediately stop using the pot if it has a black Nylon latch without a screw located under the pot handle. Please visit Sea to Summit’s product safety page for more information, and to assist in identifying Alpha or Sigma Pots affected by this recall.

Affected customers can request free replacement latches at no cost here; https://seatosummitusa.com/pages/product-safety

Customer safety is fundamental to Sea to Summit’s business and brand values. The Company has notified regulatory authorities in the US and Canada of the issue and is working in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on this voluntary recall and corrective action plan.
