Finnish-Based Adventure Brand Looks to Make a Big Impact in the Running World

HELSINKI (May 15, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Suunto, known for their high-end navigation products featuring some of the world’s highest-performing GPS-watches and pinpoint accurate compasses, officially announces their partnership with the Ogden Marathon/Goal Foundation and Ragnar races. The company is thrilled to be taking a big leap into the running world this spring.

The Goal Foundation, a non-profit organization, strives to support the Greater Ogden community’s vision to be recognized as an outdoor recreation mecca by collaborating with organizations and producing countless events. Its signature event, the Ogden Marathon, is often hailed as one of the best races in the state of Utah for both its beauty and course design. The partnership is a perfect fit for Suunto, which has a long-standing history of running events, and its sales and marketing teams based in nearby Salt Lake City, UT.

During the marathon on May 20, 2023, Suunto will be front and center at the Finish Line Festival, which will be held between 7 am and 2 pm on race day. Suunto will have a plethora of their highest-end watches and compasses on display, accompanied by a handful of sweet treats.

“It is fantastic to be in partnership with the Ogden Marathon and the Goal Foundation which allows us to do our part in supporting the community right here in our backyard,” says Suunto Brand Manager Craig Lees. “It’s also great to have the opportunity to partner with Ragnar Races since Suunto has always been a big supporter of both trail and road running.”

Suunto has entered into a new partnership with Ragnar Races, whose roots began in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. The Ragnar Relay Series is now known as the largest overnight relay series in the nation. Suunto, a leader in battery-life for GPS-tracking watches, allows the partnership to be a perfect fit given the exceptionally long race times. All Ragnar Races will feature Suunto swag giveaways, demo Suunto Vertical watches for testing, and watches for purchase.

About Suunto: We stand for adventure. Pioneering exploration has been in our DNA since 1936, when Finnish orienteer Tuomas Vohlonen set out to create a more accurate compass, and subsequently invented a new method for manufacturing liquid-filled compasses. Today Suunto is at the forefront of design and innovation for sports watches, dive computers, compasses and digital services used by adventurers all over the globe.

We are proud that Suunto products can take a beating but are also designed with an everyday aesthetic that reflects our Nordic identity. Suunto’s headquarters and factory are still in Finland. www.suunto.com
