The Mighty 5® Announces 2017 Tour Dates with Gear Give-Away

November 21, 2016

Moab, UT (November 21, 2016) – The Mighty 5® Tour, the first of its kind luxury travel operation of Utah’s “Mighty 5” National Parks including Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon and Zion, has finalized its tour schedule for 2017. The Mighty 5® Signature Tour: a 10-day, 9-night journey, will depart via a chartered flight out of Salt Lake City, Utah on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from April through October.

To build awareness around its Signature Tour, Mighty 5 and the tour’s gear sponsors including ExOfficio apparel, Leki poles, and Hydrapak hydration systems are partnering in a social media contest starting on November 21 and running through December 5. Anyone can enter to win the gear package which includes a daypack, trekking poles, hydration system and hiking apparel, by simply liking or following Mighty 5 on Facebook or Instagram (or both to be entered twice) during the two week period. Winners will be announced on Mighty 5’s social accounts on December 6.

The all-inclusive Mighty 5 Signature Tour offers a high-end, worry-free travel experience of Utah’s majestic National Parks and is offered as an experience for a private group of six or per person. Accompanied by a veteran professional guide and private concierge, guests experience some of the most remarkable hikes and natural landscapes in the world. Highlights include customized hikes in all five parks, such as the Needles District of the Canyonlands or the Grand Wash in Capital Reef. Each day begins and ends with exquisite lodging and dining experiences in the very best restaurants and lodges that Utah has to offer. Transportation between parks is via a customized Mercedes Sprinter. The tour operator and expert guide, Mike Coronella, is also the founder of the famed Hayduke Trail, an 850-mile backcountry route that links up Utah’s Mighty 5 and the Grand Canyon and owner of Deep Desert Expeditions.

“Spending time in Utah’s desert parks is always special, but the Signature Tour is a true ‘bucket-list experience’ creating lifetime memories for our guests,” said Coronella. “Over my two-plus decades of guiding and exploring these parks, I have amassed a lot of knowledge about the history of these iconic lands and sleuthed out a few hidden gems. There is nothing I love more than sharing a vista or an unique hiking experience with my guests and knowing full-well that I am blowing their minds.”

Reservations for the Signature Tour are currently being received.  To learn more, please visit or follow us @mighty5tour on Facebook and Instagram.

More about Mike Coronella and Deep Desert Expeditions:

Mike is the owner and operator of Mighty 5 Tour and Deep Desert Expeditions, but first and foremost, he is an expert photographer and avid outdoorsman. While his travels have taken him from the glaciers and mountains of Alaska to the deepest recesses of the Grand Canyon, it’s the Utah desert that brought him to settle in Moab in 2004.
