Thule introduces all-new premium platform hitch rack and two new hydration pack collections at Interbike 2018, in Reno, Nevada, USA.

August 29, 2018

With sleek aesthetics and aluminum construction, Thule Helium Platform adds to Thule’s leading platform hitch rack offering. While also broadening the brand’s new hydration pack portfolio, Thule Rail and Thule UpTake are designed for everything from aggressive enduro racing to a casual ride with the family.

(Seymour, Conn., August 29, 2018) – Thule is excited to showcase its latest product offerings within its core categories at this year’s Interbike International Expo.  New to the Racks & Carriers offering is the Thule Helium Platform hitch rack.  With the ability to carry bikes without frame contact, a premium design, and tool-free installation to vehicle, Thule Helium Platform is a highly anticipated rack slated to launch in May 2019.  Complementing the recent launch of Thule Vital, Thule Rail and Thule UpTake will contribute to Thule’s expanding Hydration Pack category.  Both collections will be available in February, 2019.

Thule Helium Platform is designed for the dedicated rider with style in mind.  The aluminum construction and sleek aesthetics make the rack not only visually appealing, but easy to use, install, and remove.  The rack secures quickly and easily to the vehicle and locks in place.  The ratcheting wheel loops secure bikes in place and integrated locks keep bikes safely on the rack.  Conveniently access the rear of the vehicle using the HitchSwitch lever to tilt the rack down, even with bikes on it.  Effortlessly fold down bike arms and tilt up when rack is not in use.  Comfortably fit one or two bikes with 26-29” wheel sizes up to a 3” wide tire.  Available in one and two bike models, this buzz-worthy rack will launch in May 2019.

Thule Rail hydration packs are made for the downhill rider enthusiast.  The secure-fit design wraps the torso and eliminates bounce or movement when jumping or railing corners for unsurpassed control, comfort and safety while descending rough trails.  Thule Rail was expertly crafted with a hand’s-free ReTrackt magnetic hose return, an included 2.5L leak resistant HydraPak bladder, quick access jersey pockets, and plenty of cargo storage for your 8L or 12L size preference.  A third model, Thule Rail 12L Pro comes equipped with a lightweight, removable Koroyd spine protector to help reduce impact on your central back.

Available in 8L, 12L, and 12L Pro, Thule Rail is the ultimate downhill hydration pack, prepared for any ride or race without weighing you down.  Available February, 2019.

Thule UpTake is an all-around, versatile hydration pack ready for any excursion.  Consistent throughout all of Thule’s hydration packs, the integrated magnetic ReTrakt hose system, leak resistant HydraPak bladder, breathable, lightweight materials and dedicated internal pockets for tools and extra layers.  With seamless design aesthetics, organization pockets, and optimal storage, Thule UpTake is ideal for all types of cycling disciplines.  Available in 4L, 8L, and 12L sizes, each model has comfort and convenience in mind.  Rounding out the collection, a youth specific 6L hydration pack is designed to fit younger riders with smaller torsos ages 8-12.

No matter your age or activity, Thule UpTake’s streamlined design keeps you hydrated and fueled throughout your adventures without slowing you down.  Available February, 2019.

Available May, 2019, Thule Helium Platform will debut at Interbike September 18-20, 2018 in Reno, NV.  Thule Rail and Thule UpTake will also be showcased, slated for a February 2019 launch.
