TREW Launches Their TREW To You Community Film Project With North American Tour

August 24, 2023

Stay TREW With A Fresh New Perspective

PORTLAND, OR. (August, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – TREW is launching its first North American film project. The film is built on the “Stay TREW” premise of creating community, and like the brand’s thumbs up logo, focuses on the bright side of life, with an amazing opportunity for 10 unique teams of skiers and riders to host hometown premieres and compete for one incredible $10,000 grand prize, with audiences voting for the winners.

During the winter of 2022/2023, ten teams were chosen to produce a three to five minute film showcasing their community, their local stomping grounds and what “Staying TREW” means to them, with only six weeks to film and four weeks to edit. Each team’s edit has been combined into a longer form film, which will be showcased on tour this fall in screenings in the team’s respective hometowns, concluding with a digital release of the film so anyone, anywhere can be a part of the “TREW To You” experience. At screenings and after its digital release, viewers will be able to vote on which edit they feel brings the “Stay TREW” mantra to life best.

The TREW To You tour kicks off in Salt Lake City on September 21st, at Evo’s Salt Lake location. The tour continues in headliner cities like Denver, Seattle, Hood River and Portland’s Evo locations over the following weeks. Tour stops will include the film, swag from TREW’s partners Hestra, Evo, Rux and Super Pacific, and lots of pre-season stoke.

Unlike other ski and snowboarding flicks that consist of professional athletes that are already well known in the industry, the TREW To You film provides an opportunity for anyone to be included. Winners will be chosen by the audience, with a unique opportunity to grow the TREW community with those who know it best.

Ranging from the wilds of Alaska to the woods of the Adirondack, the teams are as diverse as the terrain they conquer. The Tele Colo team urges people to free their mind (and their heels) in Colorado, while the Change Collective from Seattle are four BIPOC athletes that seek to explore the inequities in the sport, and inspire a way to change snow sports as they are today. From families to friends, the teams reflect the audience TREW seeks to attend their tour across North America this fall.
