SYNC Performance Introduces 2018/2019 Winter Collection Designed for Athletes Seeking High Performing Gear That Charges As Hard As They Do

November 14, 2018

VAIL, Colo.—November 14, 2018—Designed in the mountains of Colorado, SYNC Performance launched its 2018-2019 winter collection that offers mountain athletes durable, high-quality, technical apparel and gear that performs on the slopes and also is stylish enough to wear around town.

Founded in 2014, SYNC has its roots in ski racing and driven by athlete input over the past four years continues to expand its collection to make purpose driven equipment beyond the race course and into freeride and backcountry pursuits.

“Our experience working with stretch performance fabrics in ski racing translates well when creating a winter line of all-mountain wear that delivers top performing technical apparel and also looks great,” said Geof Ochs, SYNC Performance Co-Founder and Lead Product Developer. “Our 2018-19 collection continues to respond to the demands of athletes and includes durable, warm and high performing technical apparel that is perfect for hard-charging days on the mountain. We’re also excited about our travel collection, designed by SYNC Athletes with a goal of hassle free gear transport.”

New this year, SYNC is introducing its Men’s Headwall Stretch Bib

SYNC has taken their experience with performance stretch fabrics and built the ultimate bib for those who enjoy the grunt and satisfaction in pushing themselves to high peaks, longer tours, and new experiences. It’s not 2-way or 4-way, but ALL-way stretch woven fabric in a performance bib that walks the line between freeride and touring fit with a full-length weather-proof side zipper for maximum venting options.

Men’s and Women’s Stretch Puffy Line has added new colors for this season. The Stretch Puffy takes the traditional baffled, puffy down style and adds a performance stretch material tough enough for hard days on the mountain and also serves as a stylish mountain-wear jacket. The Stretch Puffy combines a proprietary Motion360 Stretch DWR waterproof yet breathable fabric combined with Primaloft Synthetic Down for warmth. The men’s version now comes in a Corsair Blue and a Desert Red, while the women’s features a Smoke Blue and Sand Yellow.

The Men’s Super Puff Jacket is the warmest jacket in the men’s collection that’s perfect for the coldest days on the mountain and looks good off the slopes. Durable arm and shoulder reinforcements set this puffy style jacket apart – you won’t be afraid of minor rips and tears in this athlete favorite. New for 2018/2019 the Super Puff is available in Desert Red.

Also new this year, SYNC has designed travel gear with the mountain athlete in mind. The SYNC Boot Roller Bag is one of a kind TSA Approved carry-on that makes traveling with boots easy. The bag includes a waterproof inner boot compartment and space for other necessities.  SYNC’s Double Rolling Ski Bag is perfect for athletes or ski enthusiasts wanting to bring their ski quiver along on their next mountain adventure.  These two pieces make a great travel combo. Rounding out the collection is the 90L or 130L Dump Truck Duffel.

SYNC is also introducing two new knee length jackets for 2018/2019. The Pano Jacket is named after the coldest FIS race series in North America, the Pano Jacket was built to withstand howling winds, subzero temps, and long days in the elements.

The Element Rain Shell is specifically designed for those shoulder season training days where rain is a common visitor, especially in the PNW and East Coast regions. Packable into a chest pocket when not in use, the Element shell is a great addition to any ski gear bag.

Also new, developed specifically for top race clubs like Ski and Snowboard Club Vail and Mt. Mansfield Academy in Stowe Vermont, The Pro Bib Pant is made for long days on the hill, built with function, comfort, warmth and protection in mind. Tested around the world from Mt. Hood to Saas-Fee to Ushuaia. Integrated XRD® foam knee pads will save achy knees and joints from kneeling and impacts, but are light enough to barely know they are there.
