JACKSON, Wyo. (March 21, 2018) The annual contest held by Teton Gravity Research (TGR), the cutting edge adventure and action sports media brand, is open for entry for all skiers and snowboarders under the age of 18. This year’s contest will include girls’ and boys’ category winners for the first time that will be treated the same in terms of submission and selection. Submissions will be submitted through tetongravity.com/grom
Groms 17 years of age or younger may submit up to one ski or snowboard edit for a chance to win the Grand Prize, a Monthly prize, or take home a weekly prizes. The (2) Grand Prizes winners, to one girl and one boy, will have their edits showcased on the annual film tour, receive a full IKON ski pass, plus win a fully loaded prize package with lots and lots of gear. The (4) Monthly Winners will receive a custom Grom prize package. The (15) weekly prize winners will receive a TGR Swag Pack. Weekly winners are selected by @tetongravity from Instagram posts hashtagged #tgrgrom based on the quality of action and level of riding.
“Not only is the contest a great way to connect with TGR’s younger fans and scout for motivated skiers and riders,” says TGR’s CEO, filmer and co-founder, Todd Jones, “the Grom Contest is also an outlet for us at Teton Gravity Research to open our doors through video to riders that might never have the chance to be discovered.”
The 2015 Grom Contest Winner, Parkin Costain, encourages every interested Grom to submit their video and post photos. “Don’t be scared to enter just because you see kids entering who you think are better than you. Go skiing or riding, film it, and share your personal style with TGR”, says Costain.
